Cow Necklace

A handmade cow necklace, full of diminutive detail to fall in love with. This calf pendant was created to show our appreciation for these gentle, intelligent, often overlooked creatures, and start a conversation about farming practices and how we treat animals.

We have tried to capture all the calf’s most fetching features, from the bendy little legs, taking those first few tentative steps, to the trusting, sweet wide-eyed face, and distinctive patch markings, made using oxidised silver.

Did you know that, despite research showing that cows are intelligent animals, who remember things and form complex relationships with others, calves are taken from their mothers at just a day old, to prevent the calves from drinking the milk destined for the supermarket shelf? 

We wouldn’t treat humans, or our companion animals, with such inhumanity, so for every cow pendant sold, we will donate £20 to SurgeSanctuary. This charity aims to educate people about veganism and animal rights. They also run a dedicated animal sanctuary, providing a safe, no-kill, forever home for rescued animals from across the UK.
