A beautifully detailed bear pendant, handmade to order by master goldsmith Jana Reinhardt at her Sussex studio. This hand carved brown bear necklace represents warrior spirit and courage.

Were you aware that in Asia, many alternative medicines, shampoos, and soaps contain bear bile? The bear bile industry is inherently cruel. Many of the bears farmed for their bile are caged as cubs and kept in horrifically small cages for the next 30 years of their life, unable to stand, or turn around.
We believe this practice is barbaric and totally unjustifiable. So we’re donating £20 from the sale of every one of our bear necklaces to Animals Asia, a charity that has already rescued around 700 bears from bear bile farms. As well as rescuing vulnerable animals, the charity has also established sanctuaries to help rehabilitate and provide the chance of a better life for them.
Ancient people, the Celts, worshipped bears because they believed them to be the earthly form of the goddess of wildlife, Artio, who symbolised transformation and abundance. So the bear necklace is also a great choice if you are going through change and want a positive totem to guide you towards the results you deserve.
