Black Cat Necklace

Our black cat necklace is handmade to order from solid sterling silver, polished and oxidised.

In many cultures black cats are regarded as powerful and protective figures. Folklore often portrays black cats as symbols of luck and prosperity. In Chinese folklore, they are seen as good omens, while in Japan, black cats are believed to bring new journeys or financial luck. Many African and Native American traditions also depict black cats as guardians and providers for the home.

Please bear in mind that the black colour is achieved by oxidising the surface of the silver. Like with gold plating, this will wear off at the highpoints if the necklace is being worn a lot, but we can be refinish it for you.
