Otter Art Print

If you’ve ever watched otters swim, you’ll know they jump and dive effortlessly, following the flow of the water. This otter picture was inspired by the life philosophy of Jana Reinhardt co-founder Ross, who is always relaxed and tries to deal with things as they come. ‘Going with the flow’ rather than trying to control the situation. It’s a reminder of how to live a more carefree life AND a stunning piece of art - what more could you want!?  

This print is also meant to raise awareness that otters are wild animals who should live freely. Sadly, otters are being traded as illegal pets across Southeast Asia. There is so much online content showing cute pet otters in unnatural environments, doing cute things, enticing more people to obtain otters for themselves as pets, causing these wonderful animals immense stress.

This handmade otter picture has been printed using Giclée fine art print inks, renowned for their vibrant colours. Jana chose Hahnemühle Bamboo paper because it’s an environmentally friendly option, made from 90% bamboo and 10% cotton rag. The warm natural look of this textured paper is particularly suited to black and white designs and emphasises movement and expression. The perfect medium to show off this detailed otter design print. 

 Our prints are available with or without a slim black wooden frame with a plexiglass front (to avoid breakage in the post).

As well as being a master goldsmith who creates one-of-a-kind jewellery, Jana is also an artist inspired by the world around her and animal rights issues. A fan of unique prints, she has collected other people’s artwork for over 20 years, before deciding to create her own print collection.
