Piglets are often seen as symbols of abundance, luck, and playfulness. In many cultures, these adorable animals represent prosperity and fertility, making them a charming emblem of good fortune.

We are also hoping that our little piglet might serve as a conversation starter about the way we treat certain animals. Why do we treat dogs like much loved family members, yet slaughter and eat pigs? Two animals with exactly the same capacity to feel joy and pain.

This little piggy is a handmade piglet pendant with a whole lot of personality, there’ll be no trips to market for him, no way. We wanted to capture all the special traits of these amazing creatures. So as well as his trademark curly tail, sweet little snout and perfect pot belly, we gave him an expressive face that shows off what a clever, happy, life-loving piggy he is.

Pigs are often underestimated by us humans. Did you know that new-born piglets recognise their Mum’s voices and learn to listen to their names by the time they’re two weeks old? Mama pigs even 'sing' to their young while they are feeding and adult pigs like to snuggle and sleep nose to nose. They are a sensitive, incredibly intelligent species that deserve our respect and appreciation.

If you agree, our pig necklace is the one for you. Available in sterling silver, or your choice of 9 or 18ct rose, yellow, or white solid gold, if a gold pig necklace is what you’d really love. All our metals are 100% recycled, making a gold pig pendant a super sustainable option too.

If you’d like your gold or silver piglet pendant personalised, we offer the option of engraving up to three tiny letters onto the side of the piglet. Just select the engraving box, enter the text you’d like and we’ll do the rest.

We wish all pigs could live as happily as our precious piggy, but unfortunately, intensive farming methods mean that many of these intelligent, sensitive creatures are suffering terribly. We don't believe any animals should be treated in a cruel or inhumane way. So we are donating £20 from the sale of this necklace to PETA, to help them to continue their amazing work in improving animal welfare throughout the world.
