This hand carved brown bear necklace represents warrior spirit and courage.

Ancient people, the Celts, worshipped bears because they believed them to be the earthly form of the goddess of wildlife, Artio, who symbolised transformation and abundance.

Your go-to necklace if you’re facing adversity and need a helping hand, this little bear symbolises strength in times of weakness and has a strong link to parenting and protecting your young. All those fierce mama bears out there – this one’s for you!

To help animals facing exploitation, suffering and/or extinction (and just because we love them!) we're donating money to animal charities with every piece of jewellery we sell. Click HERE to find out more.

And to help fight global warming, we also plant a tree with Ecologi every time you buy from us. Find out more about that HERE.

Bear Necklace

A beautifully detailed bear pendant, handmade to order by master goldsmith Jana Reinhardt at her Sussex studio. This hand carved brown bear necklace represents warrior spirit and courage.

Your go-to necklace if you’re facing adversity and need a helping hand, this little bear symbolises strength in times of weakness and has a strong link to parenting and protecting your young. All those fierce mama bears out there – this one’s for you!

Were you aware that in Asia, many alternative medicines, shampoos, and soaps contain bear bile? The bear bile industry is inherently cruel. Many of the bears farmed for their bile are caged as cubs and kept in horrifically small cages for the next 30 years of their life, unable to stand, or turn around.
We believe this practice is barbaric and totally unjustifiable. So we’re donating £20 from the sale of every one of our bear necklaces to Animals Asia, a charity that has already rescued around 700 bears from bear bile farms. As well as rescuing vulnerable animals, the charity has also established sanctuaries to help rehabilitate and provide the chance of a better life for them.

Ancient people, the Celts, worshipped bears because they believed them to be the earthly form of the goddess of wildlife, Artio, who symbolised transformation and abundance. So the bear necklace is also a great choice if you are going through change and want a positive totem to guide you towards the results you deserve.

Rich in symbolism, this stunning necklace features many fine details. Our grizzly bear may only be 2cm long, but she’s expertly made, so you’ll be able to marvel at her sumptuous fur, inquisitive face and curled up tail, all immortalised in your choice of precious metal.
