Vintage Lamb Tile Necklace

 

We have made another lamb necklace! This one is part of a new collection of tile necklaces and bracelets, inspired by egyptian mid century panel bracelets. As all our jewellery, this delicate lamb necklace is handmade by us, in our South Coast studio, from recycled precious metals. It has a flat, brushed back, perfect for a personalised engraving.

Lambs have long been symbols of purity, innocence, and sacrifice—a reputation they gained thanks to their central role in history and tradition. In Christian symbolism, lambs represent Jesus Christ, often called the "Lamb of God".

Lambs are among the most humble and peaceful creatures, embodying meekness and trust. They are symbols of new beginnings and hope. 

Yet, sheep are some of the most exploited animals in various industries, from wool production to meat farming, despite there being kinder alternatives! Embracing plant-based diets and choosing cruelty-free and sustainable fabrics can reduce the demand for exploitative practices. By treating these gentle creatures with compassion and prioritizing their well-being, we not only honor their symbolic innocence but also move toward a more ethical and harmonious relationship with the world around us.
